In Vitebsk presented a book of Ales Bialiatski “Mercury Silver Life” (video)

The book "Mercury Silver lives. Prologue. Notes human rights defender "is devoted to the Belarusian and international human rights movement, as well as the events of 2010 in Belarus. The publication includes a letter with the memories and reflections, described working life, as well as events leading up to the arrest of human rights activist, international travel.

During the meeting, Ales Bialiatski said that the opportunity to write this book greatly supported him in prison, although it was time to work a little, but the systematization of events that occurred after the 2010 elections, helped him to focus on things that are more important for a defender than the surrounding prison life .

According compiler book Laptsenak Helena, his essays Ales Bialiatski directed to freedom in the form of letters, and then later they are ready to print. In fact, the layout of the book was ready for the end of 2013, but to publish it as quickly failed. The first presentation of a collection of essays planned to organize in June this year, and a great joy for the members and associates was the fact that on June 21 the author was released.

As told to Ales Bialiatski, for the time of conclusion - almost 3 years - he received 40,000 letters from his supporters. Among those who corresponded with a former political prisoner, and was Haradok activist Leonid Gorovoj. The presentation of the book, he came as well, and not with empty hands brought a jar of pickled mushrooms, remembering that in one of his letters Ales Bialiatski wrote about how I would like it to be like a basket on fungi forest ...

The presentation of the book took place in a warm friendly environment, human rights activist willing to ask questions, everyone present was a collection of "Mercury Silver Life" as a gift, and the author gladly signed autographs old and new friends Vitebsk.

And at the end of the meeting of Ales Bialiatski was asked to sign a poster with his own portrait and the inscription "We are waiting for freedom," which hangs in the "European club".
