After the cancellation of the union and the temple and the monastery were transferred Orthodox - there are orthodox men Pokrovsky Monastery and religious school. Church was called Holy Protection.

Among those who saw the destroyed church, and was a well-known artist Mikola Kupava, who now holds charity event - organized a special auction and transfers money from the sold paintings for restoration "Basilian".

In the basement was located Hockey section, and the place was demolished church playground. Then built on the site of the site city police department. In 1994 the police began to build here a temporary detention facility (IVS), but in that time managed to defend the foundation of the Church. In the 90s there were planning to do an art gallery, but at that point in the building of the monastery still inhabited by people.
