Hockey club "Vitebsk" made a proactive proposal to the Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus: "SU "Vitebsk hockey club" requests by polling Extraliga clubs to consider the proposal for recognition of two hockey players - citizens of Ukraine - in each team the status of "non-foreign players"- according to the official website of the club.

"This proposal is based on the policy of our state and President of fraternal assistance to Ukraine in connection with heavy political and economic situation in the country", - stated in the proposal HC "Vitebsk" in the address of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.
