Russian and two Vorša residents detained for organizing the illegal migration channel

Residents of Vorša and a Russian citizen were detained on the night of 9 September, when four Vietnamese were driven towards the Lithuanian border.

According to the operatives of the 7th Directorate (for Vitebsk region) of the main department for combating organized crime and corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two Vorša residents and Russian organized illegal entry from Russia and the stay of Vietnamese citizens in Belarus for transfer to the territory of Lithuania.

The Ašmiany district department of the Investigative Committee of Belarus initiated a criminal case on part 2 of Article 371-1 of the Criminal Code of Belarus – organization of illegal migration. Law enforcement authorities decide on the arrest of traffic organizers.

Also, additional operational investigative and investigative measures are being conducted to find accomplices in this illegal activity from among the residents of the Vorša district.

As for the natives of Vietnam, the administrative process was initiated in accordance with Article 23.55 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the legislation on the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons), the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs.
