Vitebsk activist must enforce the decisions of the Committee for Human Rights in court

In the court of the district of Vitebsk Railway held a preliminary hearing in a civil lawsuit against Antonina Pivonos main department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus in Vitebsk region. Activist demands that, in accordance with the decision of the UN Human Rights Committee, she paid cash compensation of property that was confiscated from her March 25, 2008, and returned the amount of the fine to which she was subjected to unlawful.

On the 90th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the BNR Antonina Pivonos wanted to give a gift Vitsebsk oppositionist Boris Khamaida - tapestry embroidered with her own words, the prayer "Our Father." However, to implement his plan did not give law enforcement officers: a tapestry selected as an activist up a report on the violation of the order and a mass gathering. The activist appealed for protection of their rights in the Human Rights Committee, which found that there were violated civil and political rights activist, and ordered the Belarusian authorities to restore justice.
