Thus , the total number of local councils has decreased by 6.7% to 224. The upcoming election campaign will have a number of features compared with the previous. According to the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Laws of the Republic of Belarus on elections and referendums", which will come into force in December 2013 , candidates were granted the right to form their electoral funds. An applicant for a deputy mandate will run only one district. Candidates will be required to include all criminal convictions that occurred in their lives , even if they were paid or withdrawn . Also during the campaign will be operational rule which prohibits campaigning for a boycott of the elections.
